While living together, Popo started to see Nana without her hood on and that made him see just how beautiful she really was. They did basically everything together from cooking, doing the chores, shopping in the nearby market and they even share a bed together where they sleep comfortably together even though there is a bed in another room (though they settled to use that room for guests). A few years after Nana’s parents died on the mountains while climbing and a year after Popo’s parents sold their house and moved to a city pretty far from the village to find work there, Popo and Nana started living together in Nana’s house so they could take care of each other. Just like Nana, Popo developed a BIG crush on Nana after a long time of being best friends. “She blushed however, so maybe she does like my compliment.” Popo thought, hoping she would like the compliment he gave to her. Meanwhile, Popo was also thinking about what he said “I can’t believe I said that to her.” “I just wanted to express her beauty but I guess my mouth and heart wanted to say something more.” “I just hope she doesn’t think that I’m weird or else it might ruin our friendship and I will never get my chance with her.” Popo thought to himself. “I have been hiding my true feelings for Popo for a long time but I think it’s finally time to confess it to him.” Nana thought and decided to come up with her confession. Nana always hopes that Popo will always stay by her side and promises to herself to never leave Popo’s side because all that Nana has left in the world is Popo. Of course, she did all these favors straight from the heart. Nana returned these favors to make him equally as happy while also doing it because she wanted him to like her back. He has always been the one to comfort her when she’s sad, he always likes to show off his skills to her and actually impressing her, he likes to make her happy and he helps her out when she has a problem. He was and still is her best friend but Nana seems to see and admire him more in a romantic way and has developed a BIG crush on him. As time grew, Nana’s view on Popo seemed to have changed.

It’s been a long time since they’ve become best friends, dating back to the time when they were still infants actually. “Is there a possibility that Popo likes me just as much as how I like him?” Nana questioned herself. “I know he likes to compliment me but this one feels like he was trying to touch my heart with his words rather than the usual cheer up compliment he usually does.” Nana thought about it more. “Did Popo just called me beautiful?” Nana thought to herself. There was a long silence between them as they were thinking about what he said. Nana was also surprised and also started blushing which made Popo blush a little bit more due to how red Nana was. “W-What?” Nana answered him with a question, which made Popo blushed as he realized what he just said to Nana and tried to hide his blush. “Me too and the sunset just makes it look prettier.” Popo said. “I can see our entire village from here.” Nana pointed out. “I know, we usually see the view from here during midday or during the night but never have we seen it during the sunset.” Nana agreed with Popo. “It does, and it looks so much better during the sunset.” Popo answered. “Don’t you think the view looks great from here Popo?” Nana said as she decided to start a conversation about the view with Popo. They put down the sack of vegetables and their hammers down as they sat beside each other while looking at the beautiful view from there.
#Ice climbers nana and popo relationship full#
They were climbing the mountain in order to retrieve a stolen sack full of eggplants from a greedy condor while also collecting a few vegetables along the way, nothing out of the ordinary for them.Īs they made their way down the mountain, they decided to sit down to rest a bit near the edge of a cliff. They were mostly referred to by people as ‘The Ice Climbers’ or just ‘Ice Climbers’ due to them being very talented at climbing mountains despite the fact that they’re still very young. The boy wearing blue is Popo and the girl wearing pink is Nana. It was a cold snowy almost sunset evening at Icicle Mountain as two little climbers, both aged eight with one wearing a blue parka and the other wearing a pink parka, climbed down the mountain.
